(HealthDay)—There have been 126 more cases of illness added to an investigation into a Salmonella outbreak linked to recalled ground beef products from JBS Tolleson Inc., bringing the total to 246 cases in 25 states, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says.

Illnesses began between Aug. 5, 2018, and Oct. 16, 2018, and 59 people have been hospitalized. No deaths have been reported, the CDC said in its first update since Oct. 23.

On Oct. 4, 2018, Arizona-based JBS Tolleson Inc., recalled about 6.5 million pounds of ground beef and other beef products due to possible Salmonella contamination. The beef was produced between July 26, 2018, and Sept. 7, 2018, and is labeled with the establishment number "EST. 267." It was sold at more than 100 retailers nationwide, and a complete list of products and retailers is on the website of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service.

Consumers can find out if they bought the recalled beef by calling their grocery store, the CDC said. The recalled should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
